Social Networking Tips and Resources (update with link to presentation)

Here's a discussion centered around our social networking class.

The presentation I had prepared was destroyed by a small connector to my Macintosh that must be sitting in my office at UCSB. Here's a link to it. I'll leave it up for a bit.

Starting off, I'll be basing a lot of my comments off of this post by none other than Guy Kawasaki. Guy is a big fan of Santa Barbara and spends a lot of time here with his family.

Here's a HOW TO article on Social Networks.

Wow. The tutorial section at LinkedIN is great! If you are new to this, start here!
We'll talk about and maybe view this nice video by Peter Celnicker on how to set up a LinkedIN profile

Here's a very directive albeit a bit snotty list of behavior tips for LinkedIN. Take heed.

This collection is VERY amazing.
Alltop.com is Guy Kawaski's start-up. It is a bit like what Susan does -- they organize and hand-pick information by topic.

Susan made a nice follow-up post to this session. I sure hope I get to work with her some more in the future. What a mover!

Think good thoughts for our Internet Connection this Thursday. I am hoping to show off some social networking sites and even screen a few videos.

No Control over the Ads

Dear Age of Work Community. Just a reminder that the Ads on the site are not selected by me and certainly not by SBCC or UCSB.
