As a person who went back to school to gain a Masters degree in my 50’s, I’m definitely a firm believer in life long learning!
I now coordinate the TESOL Professional Certificate programs at UCSB Extension. We train students from a variety of different work backgrounds to learn the skills of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). This is a fun and rewarding career path, one of the few fields that provides jobs both at home in the U.S. and in just about any country in the world.
I look forward to meeting you all next Thursday, describing some of my classroom adventures & introducing you to the training program!
