Before I began my career with Select Staffing I was heavily involved with Girl's Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara. I started working there as a dance and gymnastic instructor for girls of all ages, working with beginners to competitors. I have always had a passion for the arts and it was fulfilling to play such a vital role in the growth of some of the most amazing youth I have ever encountered. Shortly after beginning I was given the opportunity to become the Assistant Director and was then in charge of various events and fundraisers. I am proud to have been given the opportunity to work with such a prestigious and vital part of our community.
When I first came to Select Staffing I did not know what to think. I had never applied for work through an agency before, in fact all of my previous employment just sort of feel into my lap. I met with a recruiter and filled out, what felt like, an eternity of paperwork. In the end it was all worth it. I left Select Staffing that day and within thirty minutes of my departure I received a friendly phone call from my recruiter letting me know that she had landed me an interview with the Select Staffing corporate office in two hours! I was thrilled to hear back so quickly and within days I began my position and within a few months I was given the fortune to become a recruiter for the Select Staffing Santa Barbara branch office. I am now here to give diligent applicants the same service and joy that I found upon entering the doors of Select Staffing.
While with Select, I have become an active member and ambassador of the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber gives me a fun and diverse way of meeting with other businesses in the area to better understand the needs they have from their employees.
Along with the Chamber, I am also involved in various community service projects through church functions and non-profits across the county. Most recently this includes the Firemen effort to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and participation with the Greek Festival sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Church.
I am proud of being part of Select Staffing for the many experiences available to me to become a more vital part of the community.
